Does this work in every browser?
HEIC decoding depends on your browser having a built-in decoder. Safari usually can; Chrome and Firefox often can’t. If decoding fails here, try Safari, or export as JPG from your iPhone’s share sheet first and convert that instead.
Is my photo uploaded anywhere?
No. Decoding and encoding both happen on your device via the browser’s Canvas API and a WebAssembly WebP encoder. The file never leaves your computer.
